Note: Hand dyed fabrics are one of a kind. Each piece will be different and unique and color variations will occur from one dye lot to the next. If you are interested in a particular color, let us know as we can do custom dying. E-mail for more information.

We do recommend that you test the fabrics for colorfastness in your water.
After being dyed, we rinse the fabrics in water temperature between 125 & 140 degrees with Synthropol. However, one of the things every dyer and the dyeing books talk about is the different ways the dyes respond in different waters (different chemicals, minerals, etc.). As every quilter knows, some commercial fabrics bleed and run, others do not. You are likely to have similar experiences with any hand-dyed fabrics. Be safe. TEST.

If you do experience problems try two things: 1) use cold water and 2) wash with Synthropol a time or two, following the instructions on the bottle.
